Why did Shakespeare give the entire plot in the prologue?
Shakespeare gave out many of the key plot points out during the prologue of Romeo and Juliet, even including that the lovers killed themselves. The author did this while leaving out all reason to why and how these characters did this, creating great amounts of suspense during the reading or performance.
